Wow!

Today Ellie is ONE year and a HALF!  18 months, almost two and half way to 3! I can't believe it.

Trim

I trimmed Ellie's bangs a couple of months ago and then regretted it, but the other night my mom talked me into 'trimming' them again. We've been trying to put a barette in her hair and a ponytail, but she always takes them out and hands it to me. Below are some pics of what we did.

After looking at these pictures, I can't believe how light Ellie's hair is compared to mine! Oh and her eyes are still blue as blue!

 

Exciting news!

Being sick has sucked, but I think I'm almost over this cold and luckily no one else has gotten it.  I have some exciting news! Ellie says "mama"!! She's been saying Ba-ba (my mom) and Dadda, daddy, did for awhile, but she has been saying Mama. Ellie now has a 3 word vocabulary. I mean, she does say a lot more, but we don't know what it is. She also hums or sings songs. It's mostly this Japanese song that she likes. It's her favorite on her Japanese music book.

Here is Ellie with her Japanese music book. She loves it, hence the black tape... she ripped half of it off (apparently she didn't need the book part of it, just the music buttons.)

More holiday break photos

Ellie is such a good helper, especially in the kitchen. She even likes to put her sippy cup in the cabinet, which is very organized of her, except her milk spoils because we don't find it for hours.

Nick took Yuma sledding near our house. It's so nice that we have a hill right in the neighborhood that they can just walk to!

This was Yuma's first time sledding! EVER! He loved it.

He really like it when Nick pushed him up the hill too.

What we did....

We had a lot of fun over the holiday break. We played a lot and shopped a lot. There were only a few days where we rested. Here are some goofy ones of Ellie, Meeko and I watching daddy snow blow.

Back to the norm

Well... I'm back at work. It was wonderful to have off for 12 days straight, although I have to admit it's hard work!! I really miss my Ellie. Here is a picture of her being a little sneaky. Doesn't she look guilty!

Snowman Party

It's been awhile since I blogged last, so I have a lot of catching up to do. Luckily I go back to work tomorrow and I'll be able to write some more (haha).  Several weeks ago my girlfriends and I had our annual Snowman party.  It was our 6th year doing this!  This year only 8 of us were able to participate and it was a blast. This year it was at Wendi's house and the theme was Mexican Fiesta!  Wendi was a great host and made yummy cranberry margarita's.  We all brought a dish to pass and Wendi's boyfriend Nick made chicken enchiladas. It was a nice cozy night. We caught up on the usual gossip and had some good laughs. Can't wait for next year!!
