My Papaya

Maya is growing SO fast, TOO fast.  Here is an update:

  • 15 weeks!
  • Still not sleeping through the night! She gets up usually around 1am and 4am ish.
  • Starting to 'talk' and coo a lot.
  • Loves when Ellie talks to her.
  • Wants to be held (a lot). Grandpa Frank spoiled her when they babysat for 3 weeks.
  • Has some really dry skin :(
  • Is sporting a cute little mullet - her hair in the back of her head rubbed away, but she still has hair near her neck!
  • Wears 6 months clothes!
  • Loves her nukie.
  • Ellie and I call her Maya Papaya or just Papaya.
  • Jack just started saying Baby Maya, he use to call her Baby Yoyo!
  • Nick calls her Poopaya.
  • She is such a happy baby :)

2013 Christmas Card

Tis the Season!

Well hi there! I'm pretty sad that I haven't posted in over a month. I'm such a slacker. Actually, I've been SO busy at work and with the kids I just haven't had time. I'm not sure where to start...

We are pretty much ready for Christmas!! The last two Saturdays, I've gotten a sitter and went shopping at night time. You wouldn't think the malls would be busy at this time, but they are. I love Christmas time and all the hustle and bustle :)

I have a few small things to get Ellie and Jack, but that will be easy. I actually haven't boughten
anything for Maya... not sure what she needs, but she has to have something because then Ellie will think that Santa thinks Maya is naughty. Ellie is really into Santa and all the magicalness of Christmas. I love it. We are doing Elf on the Shelf this year and it's fun that the first thing Ellie and Jack do in the morning is look for him. I haven't done anything crazy with him yet, like some pictures on Pinterest, although I did make believe he found missing books that Ellie was looking for the night before. We couldn't find these Dora books and I stumbled upon them under the Christmas tree when I was turning off the lights, so I set it up that "Little Elf" found them. She loved it.

Ellie has been doing really well at school, she hasn't been crying when she goes and doesn't break down there.

Now that my mom is back from Japan and watching ALL of the kids, Jack goes to daycare with Ellie on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He seems to enjoy it and loves going, but sometimes cries when we leave him. He's a 'silent' crier and all of a sudden you'll look at him and there are tears running down his face and he's so sad. I love my Jack.

Here are some recent pictures of things - some of you may have seen these on Facebook, so sorry!
