Today.

I wasn't going to post until after the baby came, but I thought as I sit and get my toes painted I would throw a picture out there too. I'm not getting a full blown pedi because I have a big mosquito bite I scratched and the last thing I need is an infection! I got my eye brows waxed this morning too. Just some last minute maintenance items before baby #3 comes. After this I'm going to go home hang out with the kids and get my bag packed.
I'm pretty nervous. More then I thought. I'm scared of the spinal shot, scared of the surgery and anxious to meet the new baby. I feel like its gone fast, but my body  is so ready. I'm extremely sore. My whole body just aches. Recovery is going to suck for awhile but at least my body will be on its way to heal.

Ellie and Jack are excited. Ellie knows that the baby is coming from the hospital but I would love to know what she really thinks happens. It is hard to comprehend.

Update to come soon!!

C-section

My c-section is scheduled for Monday, the 26th! It's at night, which is kinda nice but then I remembered that I won't be able to eat 12 hours before - UM. no, that's not happening. Hopefully I don't throw up in the OR. So, my Doc is on vacation now and I'll have another doctor. I hope she is a good surgeon.

I'm super excited and oh so nervous. The spinal shot was not so great with Jack and of course anyone that has surgery (especially a c-section) the recovery is brutal, not to mention all the drugs they pump into you. Oh and then you have to wake up a lot and take care of a newborn! When God created this scenario, I think something got twisted. I'm not a feminist at all, but men have it SO easy.

So! Wendi helped finish Jack's closet yesterday and I'm going to go to Target and hopefully get some cute baskets or bins. Toddler clothes is so little that you need an organizer of some sort. Also, last night Ellie's new preschool teacher came to our house. I guess they do that now? I didn't know. She's super nice. She is Korean and Ellie kept asking if she was Japanese. It was funny. When she left though, Ellie said she 'didn't like that kind.' She doesn't mean that she's Korean or anything, it just takes her time to get use to some people I think. I'm sure she'll do fine at school! I hope. I'm nervous though. She'll be going to preschool 3 - half days and then the other time her same daycare.

Friday my little Jack turns 2! We are having a small get together at Nick's parents house. She's doing all the cooking, which is SO nice for us. I couldn't do it now even if I tried. Bending over is getting almost impossible and I'm still sore from the weight and pressure of this big little girl. I bet she's at least 8.5 lbs now.  I can't wait to meet her : )

Some pics of the kids in their pjs. Ellie got some new ones and I finally talked her into wearing them! Jack looks up to Ellie so much. He would do anything for her.

Weekend recap

No baby yet. I thought for sure this weekend, she would make her arrival. I'm feeling pretty good, some pressure, but not unbearable.

This last weekend Nick and I went out to Palmer's for a really good dinner and then headed to the Sandbar to see the Lovemonkeys. I figured the music might help baby come out. NOPE. I was just tired when I got home.

I forgot to post pictures of Silas's baptism and birthday party from 2 weeks ago. He was such a good boy at church. Ellie and Jack went to the nursery during the church service. I felt a little guilty, but I think it would have been hard for them to sit still and they would for sure want to be up by the alter with us and Silas! After church we headed over to Silas's grandparents house for lunch and some fun times.

37 and 5 days

WOW. I can't believe I'm almost 38 weeks and the baby is the size of a winter melon (whatever that means!) I love how they say the average weight is 6.2 - 9.2 lbs. I think I'm probably closer to the larger scale. Jack was born 10 days early and was a whopping 9.4 lbs. If I had to guess I would say this baby will be 8.8 lbs. Since my c-section is scheduled for August 27th and my due date is September 1, that's only 6 days early. I'm pretty excited to meet the baby. I wish it were happening this weekend. I'm going to try to walk and eat some extra spicy food. Ellie is getting really excited too. She always asks if she can hold the baby and questions like: Where are her hands? Is she sleeping? Did the baby give you those owies on your tummy? (my stretch marks), Is she moving? WHEN IS SHE COMING?!

Jack knows there is a baby inside and he will pat my tummy and say "baby", but I think he is in for a rude awakening! I'm glad he's now upstairs out of his old room, which will soon be occupied by the baby. He has had a few nights where he cries and I usually have to sit with him for a little bit before bed. We are still working on his closet. It's pretty much done, but there a few things that need to complete it, like hang the bars for clothes, paint and secure the closet organizers in place.
